Date: 31st October and 1st November 2026
Format: 5 Round Swiss
Venue: Girl Guide Hall, 33B Myers Street, Geelong VIC
Age Categories
50+ Division: Open to players who turn 50 years old or older by December 31, 2026 (born in 1976 or earlier).
65+ Division: Open to players who turn 65 years old or older by December 31, 2026 (born in 1961 or earlier).
Players may choose to compete in a higher age category if eligible.
Time Control: 60 mins + 30 seconds per move (scoresheet required)
Rating: ACF and FIDE Rated
Forfeiture time: 30 minutes from schedule start
Byes: 1 half point bye on round 1 to 3. Must be advised 1 week in advance
Round Times:
Round 1 – 10:30am
Round 2 – 1:30pm
Round 3 – 4:30pm Sunday 1 November
Round 4 – 10:30am
Round 5 – 1:30pm
Presentation: Immediately after Round 5
Please ensure that you arrive between 9 and 9:30am on day one to check in and confirm that you are playing.
