Melissa Rebbeck will present on Turning Waste Into Wealth: Pyrolysis Technology for Biochar, Energy and Carbon Removal Revenue. Her presentation will outline how pyrolysis technologies can transform low-value waste streams into high-value products, generating biochar, renewable thermal energy and certified carbon removal credits. Through case studies of scalable, continuous systems, she will demonstrate how forestry industries can convert residues into new revenue, stronger sustainability outcomes and long-term climate benefits.
Andrew Lang will discuss wood biomass and bioenergy, focusing on turning timber waste into electricity, fuels and other valuable products, and what this means for resource efficiency and future industry development. He will also provide case studies on the European approach to biomass.
