Come along to hear from University of Melbourne Lecturer in Criminology, Dr Stephen Burrell, in this exclusive event and meet and greet opportunity. Dr Burrell will be joining Little Hall to explore how gender norms impact our lives, from interpersonal relationships to global politics.At our "Little Hall, Big Ideas" series, we spend a bit of time hearing from an inspiring speaker, followed by plenty of time for Q&A from you and your peers, then having a delicious dinner with our guest and continuing a discussion of important ideas!
A bit about our speaker:
Dr Stephen Burrell’s research focuses on men, masculinities and violence, particularly the prevention of gender-based violence, as well as engaging men and boys in caring for the environment. He also co-hosts a podcast called Now and Men: Changing Masculinities, Challenging Norms. Before joining the University of Melbourne, he was based at Durham University (UK), where he was a Deputy Director of the Centre for Research into Violence and Abuse and completed his PhD.
