Strengthening Trust, Culture and Community in Practice
About
Tauondi Aboriginal College in collaboration with Wonky Lines is pleased to present Strengthening Trust, Culture and Community in Practice. A 6 part online series designed to build your knowledge over time. These sessions include 5 modules, carefully designed to address the most common barriers to culturally safe engagement, trust building and effective service delivery within SA. Each module aligns with the Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) 7 Domains Framework and supports organisations to move beyond compliance-driven approaches toward culturally grounded, relationship-centred practice that honours Aboriginal Self Determination and wellbeing.
Together, the modules:
- Acknowledge the historical and structural factors that continue to impact trust and engagement
- Strengthen staff capability in cultural safety and anti-racism
- Improve communication practices to ensure dignity, access and informed consent
- Support authentic partnerships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and Elders
- Guide program design and evaluation that prioritises belonging, identity and meaningful wellbeing outcomes, not just attendance or outputs.
Each session builds progressively and the intention is for participants to commit to attending all 6 sessions in full. Sessions are 1 hour from 4pm - 5pm. See dates below. Once registered, you will receive calendar requests with an online link to join.
