"The Last Note", a film directed by Pantelis Vougaris, is based on the execution of 200 Greek resistance fighters by the German occupying forces on May 1st, 1944, in Kaisariani, as reprisal for the ambush of Nazis by the Greek Resistance.Recent photographs showing scenes from the mass execution of 200 Greek men by Nazi occupying forces in 1944, were declared a protected national monument by the Greek Government and are now in the possession of the Hellenic Ministry of Culture.
The film, together with these photos, show the courage and patriotism of those resistance fighters, just moments before their execution, making them priceless.
A discussion will take place in the foyer of the cinema.
