STORY PEOPLE - Wonder is a powerful intergenerational story-sharing and live reading event, that celebrates the often remarkable stories we all carry within us and honours everyday people who are the heart of our community.Taking place on May 9 and 10 and continuing a community story-sharing practice established by Carole Patullo, Jane Bayly and Anthea Mackenzie in 2015, participants are invited to share their personal stories and experiences related to the 2026 theme - Wonder - tales of awe and surprise about something unexpected, mysterious, miraculous, extraordinary, or the inexplicable.
The main Saturday May 9 community story-sharing event offers a free, morning tea for up to 25 female-identifying and non-binary people of all ages at the Mt Martha Uniting Church. In the following 24 hours, the lead artists, Carole and Jane, will transcribe and edit the recorded stories for a public performance on Sunday May 10 afternoon at Dromana Community Hall.
