How Little Kids Learn Their Languages Aboriginal language ac
About
How do young children in central Australia acquire traditional Aboriginal languages — and what do their everyday learning environments look like? This project worked with 26 families in Mparntwe/Alice Springs to document real interactions. The result: the Little Kids’ Word List — a free app tracking early vocabulary in Warlpiri, Arrernte, Pitjantjatjara, Luritja and English — plus posters and animations showing how adults foster children’s language development.Location
