Sandringham House Parents Association has a wonderful year ahead planned for your family, as part of our vibrant school community.
On top of the all-campus events SHPA coordinates, SHPA also collects funds to support class-level activities throughout the year. This is called the Class Contribution Fund (CCF) and is distributed to Class Representatives (parent volunteers) based on student and teacher numbers. The Class Rep has funds on which to draw for presents, class parties / events and other class gifts and activities. It also means, as a parent, you are not dipping into your pocket every time something comes up within the class!
This is usually communicated and collected at the start of Term 1, please forgive the delay! With Mother’s Day coming up and having missed the Term 1 staff birthdays, we kindly ask you finalise your payment this week.
Funding for 2026 has remained stable year on year as $55 per student. The funds will be used for the following:
-
Mother’s Day gift, $7 per student;
-
Father’s Day gift, $7 per student;
-
Teacher Appreciation event, $3.50 per student;
-
Staff EOY Celebration, $3.50 per student;
-
Leaving Bear fund, $2 per student;
-
Presents for teachers (25) and support staff (18), $13 per student
-
Birthday Presents for Classroom Teacher’s, max. $50, prorated for part time
-
EOY / Christmas Presents for Classroom Teachers, same as Birthday
-
Support/Specialist and other Staff, $30 - $50 depending on role and prorated for part time
-
Other gifts / celebrations throughout the year ($19 per student)
In the past, Class Reps have organised a catch up for students and parents outside of school hours and some of the budget for snacks; others have bought each student a small gift for EOY. Year 3 - 6 Class Reps also fund the EOY bike ride meals for students, teachers and parent volunteers. Activities will vary from year-to-year, depending on funds available and are at the discretion of the Class Reps. Reach out to your Class Rep if you have an idea or would like to help. All expenses must be supported by receipts and a reconciliation is required by the end of the year.
