The Vegan Fromagerie Workshop: Create Aged Cheeses at Home
About
If you’ve ever tried giving up dairy or can’t have dairy, you’ll know the hardest goodbye is always cheese. But here’s the delicious secret: aged vegan cheeses can be just as satisfying, complex, and indulgent — and you can make them yourself.Join vegan French cheesemaker Elodie for a deep dive into the world of aged, cultured vegan cheeses: think creamy camembert, funky blue, and ashed brie with beautiful edible rinds. Whether you're vegan, dairy-free, eco-conscious, or simply curious, this workshop will show you how accessible — and fun — gourmet vegan cheese making can be. You’ll be introduced to the transformation from simple ingredients to beautifully aged cheeses, learn the essential techniques behind culturing and rind development, and taste a curated selection of cheeses. Gluten-free participants can also be accommodated with advance notice (simply contact the Event Organiser when booking).
By the end of the workshop, you’ll be ready to take the next steps to stock your fridge with your very own artisanal creations — perfect for cheese boards, dinner parties, or a quiet night in with good bread and better company. This workshop is for everyone — not just vegans!
The EcoCentre is easily accessible by public transport. Free on-street parking is available as well.
