Author, Professor Lelia Green is Chief Investigator in the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child at Edith Cowan University, where she leads a team of researchers from across health, education and social connection. Green was an early pioneer of research with children (rather than about children) and has been chief investigator on international projects including on toddlers' internet use. She has consulted for UNESCO Asia-Pacific and belongs to several international networks, including the European Commission funded DigiLitEY and EU Kids Online. Green serves as an editorial advisor for Media International Australia and recently retired from the editorial board of leading publication Journal of Children and Media.
Associate Professor Anna Bunn is the Dean of Learning & Teaching in the Faculty of Business and Law at Curtin University, and an Associate Investigator with the ARC Centre of Excellence for the Digital Child. Anna’s research has focused mostly on children’s rights in relation to their privacy and digital lives; bringing a child’s rights focus to the issues arising from children’s interaction with technology. She believes that the regulation of technology should both protect and empower children.
