About
Conquer the Corrugations Mental Health Awareness Walk strives to raise awareness of the 'corrugations' in life, support and remember those affected, and to remove the stigma that surrounds mental health.- Walk approx. 28kms on unsealed road over the two days
- Free, family friendly event - suitable to all ages & abilities
- Camp at Wathawuy (Latram River / Goanna Lagoon) or transit daily
Support on the walk - passenger buses, potable water car, portaloo’s, first aid, local mental health professionals and more!
- rest stops every 5km with morning tea, lunch & afternoon tea provided
- make your own way to the start line, buses will take you back to your vehicle at the end of the walk each day (security provided for vehicles)
Conquer HQ (setup at Wathawuy) - evening activities, trivia, raffles, campfire dinner, live music & more!
Brief Itinerary:
- Friday 21st August: check in at Conquer HQ from 4pm, set up camp (if camping), participate in activities (tutu tent, kids corner), BBQ dinner, live music
- Saturday 22nd August: meet at Day 1 start line (Scout Camp turnoff) by 8am & check in if not done Friday, welcome message / safety briefing / keynote speech, start walking! Walk finishes Day 1 at Gulkula Mine / Cape Arnhem intersection. Buses transport drivers to pick up vehicles. Activities kick off at Conquer HQ in the afternoon (kid's face painting, women's journalling, men's yarning, yoga, meditation & more!), evening activities (trivia, LED candle activity), campfire dinner, live music & more!
- Sunday 23rd August: meet at Day 2 start line (Gulkula Mine / Cape Arnhem intersection) by 7am, safety briefing and start walking! Walk finishes at bitumen near the airport. Awards presentation & event close out at Conquer HQ from 4pm.
