Tales from other Trails | by the Bibbulmun Track Foundation
About
Join us for a relaxed and inspiring evening at Tales from Other Trails, celebrating walking experiences from beyond the Bibbulmun Track. This special Members Night brings together two engaging guest speakers who will share stories from very different corners of the world — each offering a unique perspective on walking, place and connection.
Kathleen Broderick, Chair at the Bibbulmun Track Foundation, will transport us to Taiwan with her talk on the Bibbulmun Track Friendship Trail, the Raknus Selu Trail.
Travel podcaster and writer Amanda Kendle (The Thoughtful Travel Podcast) will then take us to Japan with her presentation “Hiking in Japan: Following the trail of a haiku poet.” Venturing beyond the well-known tourist routes, Amanda retraced parts of Matsuo Bashō’s historic journey from The Narrow Road to the Deep North, exploring a quieter, more reflective side of Japan’s landscapes and culture through walking.
