Set in the heart of South Australia’s Riverland, Ricca Terra is a collection of ten unique vineyards across Barmera and Berri, spanning 70 hectares of rich, historic land. Originally cultivated by returned soldiers after the First and Second World Wars, some of these original vineyard plantings still thrive today, a living connection to the region’s past and a defining part of Ricca Terra’s story.

Working with the Riverland’s warm, dry climate, Ricca Terra embraces a forward-thinking, sustainability-driven approach to winemaking. Their vineyards rely on careful irrigation from the Murray River, combined with drought-resistant rootstocks, water-saving techniques, and minimal intervention practices.

At the core of their philosophy is a focus on Mediterranean grape varieties such as Nero d’Avola, Montepulciano, Tinta Barroca, and Vermentino, perfectly suited to the environment. The result is a range of expressive, character-driven wines that reflect both place and purpose.

Ricca Terra is not just about making great wine, it’s about redefining what the Riverland can be, with a clear vision to create one of Australia’s most exciting and sustainable vineyard projects.
