The Thwarting of Baron Bolligrew is a wildly theatrical, fast-paced fantasy adventure set in a world of knights, dragons, villains, and heroic ideals.

When the upright and painfully honest knight, Sir Oblong Fitz Oblong, insists on continuing his life’s mission of protecting the poor and needy, he becomes a nuisance to his fellow knights—who would very much like a rest. To get rid of him, Sir Oblong is sent on a seemingly impossible quest to the distant Bolligrew Islands, ruled jointly by a wicked Baron and a fearsome Dragon.

What follows is a highly comic tale of good versus evil, featuring outrageous villains, bold heroes, absurd obstacles, and lots of audience interaction. This play celebrates courage, integrity, and the belief that doing the right thing matters—no matter how inconvenient it may be. Bold, physical, and joyfully theatrical, Baron Bolligrew is an ensemble-driven production that invites performers to think big, play bravely, and tell a great story together.
