THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT - PLEASE EMAIL THE HOBART BOOKSHOP TO WAITLISThobartbookshop@gmail.com
Join us at an event to celebrate the launch of a life with the BIRDS of TASMANIA The endemic, migrant, pelagic and vagrant species by Els Wakefield.
Els will be in conversation with Tasmanian environmentalist and former senator Bob Brown.
As one of our island’s most experienced birders, Els Wakefield has a remarkable eye for detail and an exceptional ability to convey a bird’s distinguishing characteristics. Her book is both a memoir of Els’ lifetime exploring and learning about the natural environment, and a compendium of Lutruwita/Tasmania’s extraordinary birds. This book is an essential companion for anyone who loves birding and wants to deepen their knowledge of how to look for birds occurring in Lutruwita/Tasmania.
Doors will open at 5.15pm and the event will start at 5:30pm
