Harmony Singing for Uke Players

10:30am-12pm Easy As 1, 2, 3The first session will focus on simple and effective ways to sing 3-part harmonies with ukulele accompaniment, looking at shorter songs using 1-3 standard chords.
1-2:30pm Anthem Mayhem
In the afternoon we’ll have a heap of fun adding harmony to some iconic rock, pop and folk anthems, plus looking at achievable ways to bring a ukulele arrangement to life.
Skills you’ll need:
• Able to play a range of standard chords (eg. A, A7, Am, C, C7, D, D7, Dm, E7, Em, F, G, G7)
• Able to sing and strum at the same time
• Able to change chords at a moderate strumming pace
• You’ll also be welcome to just strum or sing at any stage
Leanne Murphy is a singer-songwriter, musician, artist, teacher and community music leader living in Beechworth, Victoria. She has been teaching music for over 30 years in classrooms and communities, and at festivals and events around Victoria and NSW. www.leannemurphy.com.au.
