Closing parade and pick up is on Sunday at 1pm. If any parent can assist with packing up tents and packing the trailer, we would love for you to come along at 11am to help, then you can enjoy the BBQ lunch with us at 12pm.
Families will be asked to come back to 3rd Heathmont Hall after pick up to help with unpacking the trailer.
We have a fun schedule of activities, including the High Ropes course, bouldering wall, challenge climbing and activity course. Night activities include a campfire and possum prowl. Joeys, Cubs and Scouts will complete the activities together with many benefits coming from mixed age patrols - younger members will have role models to learn from and older members are given meaningful leadership opportunities. Getting to know the children in the other sections helps build our 3rd Heathmont community and helps with transitions between the sections.
Accommodation:
Joeys have the option of sleeping in tents, or, for an additional $50, can sleep indoors in the bunkhouse. Joey parents, please select the ticket you would like to purchase at checkout.
Joeys (that are sleeping in tents), Cubs and Scouts will be sleeping in separate tents, not mixed groupings.
The camp cost will be $70. This includes camp fees, activities, food and snacks.
We will require many parents to come along and assist on the camp. Adult Supporters have completed the training modules and police checks and therefore are allowed to attend camps overnight. If you would like to become an Adult Supporter, please contact our Group Leader Pete Smolenaers.
We also require daytime support in roles such as camp cooks, etc.
All youth members and adults attending will need to fill out a Health Form: https://scoutsvictoria.com.au/media/9587/personal-information-record2026.pdf
Medication will need to be handed over by an adult to the designated First Aider at the beginning of camp.
The packing list can be found here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1s1HDPyiyNwqsZUAnNani0iTJ8NY8NVTI/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=112499035253153186206&rtpof=true&sd=true
If your child experiences bedwetting, even occasionally, please pack DriNites/Pull ups and ensure they can use these independently. This will help your child to stay comfortable and warm throughout the night. They can be placed in the bottom of children's sleeping bags for discreet changing.
