Additional funded Year of Kindergarten

The Department of Education Inner East Early Childhood Improvement Branch is holding an information session (virtually) about an Additional Funded Year of Kindergarten on Thursday 14th May 2026 from 4:30pm-5:30pm.We welcome new and existing service leaders and ECT’s that are involved in the Additional Funded Year of Kindergarten process to attend.
Please note no changes have been made to the current policy setting – this session is to support new team members who may be unfamiliar with the policy and process or those that feel they may need a refresher on this information.
The session will cover the following information:
• Funding Policy for 2027
• Eligibility for an Additional Year of Funded Kindergarten
• Additional Year process and timelines
• Transition to School
• School Exemptions
Please RSVP and name your service and those attending via the booking site by Monday 11th May 2026.
A meeting link will be sent to all registered attendees the day before the event.
