About
Workshop Objectives* Describe the indications for peripheral IV line placement.
* Outline the relative contraindications for peripheral line placement in certain clinical conditions.
* Identify venous anatomy of the arm for peripheral access.
* Explain the importance of a team approach to patients needing peripheral access and improving outcomes.
* Describe the procedure used to cannulate using ANTT
The workshop is available to all staff including; staff wanting to refresh their skill knowledge as well as staff wanting to 'upskill' and add cannulation competency to their skill list.
The workshop is run By BD, supplier of our 'Insyte' Cannulas.
Please note, staff wanting to upskill will need to complete three supervised and successful cannulations to complete their cannulation competency before undertaking autonomous practice at BPH.
