PubSing 'Voices For Reconciliation' #4 - Beds are Burning
PubSing is proud to present Voices for Reconciliation at the Taproom in Castlemaine, as part of the Reconciliation Australia annual national choirs project. This will be our fourth year participating in this beautiful collective big sing which occurs in hundreds of communities across the country.
The song this year is Midnight Oil's iconic land rights anthem 'Beds are Burning'. We will learn a special three part arrangement over the course of the night, and then belt it out wholeheartedly, singing up Dja Dja Wurrung country together.
Friday 5th June
7.30 - 10.00pm
Taproom - Walker St, Castlemaine
Everyone welcome.
First Nations folk are warmly encouraged to attend - free entry.
🖤Please join us in our shared intention to honour the oldest living culture on earth, support truth telling about the history of this country, and take meaningful action as allies alongside First Nations people.
💛Reconciliation Week 2026:
The theme of NRW this year is 'All In', a call for all Australians to commit wholeheartedly to reconciliation every single day.
❤️PubSing Castlemaine and the Taproom are a proud allies of the local Djarra community. We pay our deepest respect to elders past and present, and to emerging young Aboriginal leaders.
