Free entry | Pumpkin drop-off from 9:00am | Winners announced at 12:00pm
We’re calling on growers across the Mount Alexander region to bring along their best, pumpkins and compete in three fun categories:
🏆 Heaviest Pumpkin
🎨 Most Unusual / Quirky Pumpkin
🧒 Children’s Best Decorated (no carving, under 12)
Prizes include market gift vouchers—plus serious bragging rights.
🌱 Special Feature
The awards will be hosted by presenters from “Dig It” on MAINfm, with Claire Reynolds and Lou Lorback.
They’ll also host a live Q&A, sharing practical gardening insights and inviting growers to talk about their techniques and pumpkin-growing secrets.
With judges from ASQ Garden & Landscape, we’ll be getting hands-on with the fun—measuring, weighing and sizing up every pumpkin to crown our champions with confidence.
Don’t forget the kids’ creative category—judged by a mystery local artist —celebrating imagination and playful design, so there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
