Step into the frame with Colyn Huber of Lovegreen Photography for a hands-on workshop set within the beautiful Cooktown Botanic Gardens. With over 20 years of professional experience and a rich library of nature-based imagery, Colyn shares the key concepts that elevate a single shot and strengthen a cohesive body of work.Expect a blend of foundational and advanced techniques, alongside thoughtful discussions on the photographer’s perspective before the shutter is even pressed. At the heart of the session is a simple idea: your most powerful piece of equipment is your eye. Whether you’re using a phone or a professional rig, the principles explored apply across the board.
This workshop will be a practical shooting session, giving participants the chance to capture, experiment, and learn in an outdoor environment.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own cameras or phones. It is recommended to wear comfortable shoes, to bring a hat and water bottle.
10am - 1pm - meeting at the main gate of the Cooktown Botanic Gardens from Walker street.
3 hour workshop
$10 per person from ages 12+
Limited spaces, bookings are essential.
