HSA Winter Warmers Series with O’Brien Harrop
Join us for the second talk in the Heritage Skills Association Winter Warmer Series 2026 - Balancing Heritage and Inclusion: Equitable Access at Fremantle Prison, presented by O'Brien Harrop.
Join Khai Tam and Anita Harrop from O’Brien Harrop Access as they explore the challenges of improving accessibility within the heritage-listed Fremantle Prison.
Using the Behind Bars tour case study, they will discuss balancing equitable access, heritage conservation, and compliance under the Disability Discrimination Act and Premises Standards. This talk highlights practical, performance-based solutions that create more inclusive experiences while respecting the cultural significance of heritage places.

Cost: Free, book now as places are limited.
Doors open at 5:45pm, with talks from 6:00–7:00pm including Q&A. Guests are then invited to mingle over light refreshments until the event concludes at 7:30pm.

This event series is run in partnership with the Heritage Skills Association endorsed by Department of Planning, Lands and Heritage, and the Heritage Council.
This series showcases a range of local heritage professionals shining the spotlight on WA heritage places, projects, current challenges as well as provide a chance to meet other individuals interested in or working in these spaces.
Anyone with an interest in learning more about heritage and our environment is invited to attend as well as those studying, working or looking to enter the industry.
