HEQinc Virtual Excursion - Adaptations to Habitat
About
Come along and meet zoo educators and animals in a live virtual excursion with Auckland Zoo, designed especially for HEQinc kids aged 7 –12.In this interactive session, kids will explore how animals adapt to survive and thrive in their environments. Through guided observation and discussion, children will discover how animals find or catch food, protect themselves from predators and the elements and care for their young.
The session includes a focus on some of the Zoo’s feathered animals, looking at how their unique features help them move, feed, and stay safe in their habitats.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support your child’s science learning in an engaging, real-world context — all from the comfort of home.
All children must be supervised by an appropriate adult (in their own home) to support a safe and inclusive experience for everyone.
