Monash Airway Course for FACEMs (MAC4ED)
Course at a Glance
This immersive, full-day small group course provides participants with the opportunity to:

Explore human factors and team dynamics in high-stakes airway care

Master the management of challenging airways, including CICO scenarios, intubation and tracheostomy emergencies

Engage in advanced simulation-training with intubation with Mac and hper-angulated blades,bougie,stylet, FONA and LMA techniques

Practice across a range of challenging airway scenarios ,both anatomical and physiological : dealing with hypoxia,shock and metabolic acidosis

Strengthen leadership and communicaton skills including airway teaching and supervision strategie
Led by an experienced, multidisciplinary simulation faculty of Anaesthetic, ED, ICU and CNS nurse clinicians, the course fosters open discussion, peer learning, and reflective practice in a supportive environment.
This course will ensure you meet your CPD requirements with confidence, enhancing your clinical confidence in high-risk airway scenarios.

- Fellows of the College of Emergency Medicine (FACEM)
- Senior nurse airway practitioners seeking to refresh and advance their airway management skills (limited numbers per course)

Course Information
MAC 4 FACEMs commences at 8:00am and concludes at 5:15pm.
To allow the course to run on time, registrants are requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to the course start time.
The course will be fully catered.
