Come join for a evening warm by the fire beneath bright stars to share in song, soup and the the splendour of musical medicine.What is the flavour musical medicine and song on offer?
Often referred to as medicine song, songs of the heart or rainbow songs what you will learn are simple, repetitive songs that could sung in circles or ceremony, with children, beloveds with the earth- whenever!
They’re called “medicine” because they can:
- Regulate the nervous system (through rhythm and breath), help process emotion, singing together creates a shared field of connection. The songs lift mood and energy and invite playfulness and inclusion and remind us of our interconnectedness.
They’re like emotional sunlight opening the heart and softening the edges- thats the medicine!
Learning these songs is less about performance and more about feeling, singing from the heart and connecting.
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
On this night you will have the opportunity to learn and sing 5 songs connected to the elements earth, water, fire, air and ether/spirit.
I will have soup and bread for everyone on arrival at 5.45m. We will get singing by 6.15pm.
You'll have a song sheet to take home too.
