Steve Balbi 'FLY SOLUTION' LP Tour

The music of the artist, composer, and producer — STEVE BALBI — mines a kaleidoscope of life at the margins. The founding member of Noiseworks, Electric Hippies, and frontman with 1980s post-punk, new wavers Mi-Sex appears at MEMO Music Hall, St Kilda — intimate ‘n’ eclectic — on Thursday the 19^th of November with very special guest NITIDA.

Exclusive to MEMO, Balbi plays songs from his new solo record — FLY SOLUTION — alongside songs ‘n’ stories from his extensive back catalogue of life ‘n’ time. Featuring Casper Tromp (Christine Anu, Ngaiire, Petula Clark) on keys ‘n’ synth and Tully Ryan (Godtet, Hekka, Ngaiire) on drums ‘n’ percussion.

Distorted but beautiful, daunting but heavenly, melancholic and intoxicating, BALBI is renowned for his evocative and inspirational live performances, so don’t miss the chance to witness the chameleon transcend decades, genres, and ethereality, live on stage.

Making the ethereal intergalactic, songwriting powerhouse — NITIDA — will open the show at MEMO. Perhaps better known as one-half of the pop-garage duo, Don’t Thank Me, Spank Me! Or maybe you saw her show-ponying, clad head-to-toe in Sherrin red Edgeley on telly with Mark Seymour, at the 2026 AFL Grand Final? A fashion icon, a force of life and guaranteed good time, you’ll love this naturally charming and vivacious performer.
