About

Tap Workshop with Ruby Boukabou (Paris, FR)

Join us for an exciting and rhythm‑packed tap workshop with Ruby Boukabou, acclaimed Paris‑based tap dancer and international performer.

Ruby Boukabou is an Australian tap dancer, performer and writer based between Paris and Australia. She holds a Master’s degree in Theatre and has trained across Australia, Switzerland, the UK and France.

Her performance work spans cabaret, theatre and live events, with appearances at venues including the Spiegeltent (Melbourne, Sydney and Edinburgh), The Whoopee Club (London), Le Divan du Monde (Paris), Chat Noir (Switzerland), Glastonbury Festival (UK) and Algiers Fashion Night (Algeria).

She creates and performs original theatre-cabaret works including Parisian Time Step, Promenade à Paris, Paris by Night, Parisian Notes and Parisian Rendez Vous, and has collaborated with a range of international artists.

She is the co-founder of The Paris Tap Crew, hosting monthly tap dance events in Montmartre, and a member of The Shuffle Project. Alongside her performance career, Ruby teaches tap dance, sharing an accessible and musical approach to rhythm and movement.

She is also the author of The Movie Lover’s Guide to Paris and works as a presenter and cultural journalist. She is currently in Australia touring her book.

These workshops will focus on musicality, rhythm, technique and style, drawing from Ruby’s global training and performance experience. Dancers will explore footwork, timing, groove and expressive performance while building confidence and clarity in their tap dancing.

Ruby is comfortable working with a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners through to intermediate and advanced dancers, offering layered material and clear musical guidance so every dancer feels supported and challenged.
