QLF presents Little Moments, Mighty Conversations
Many parents, carers, and professionals want practical, confident ways to talk with young children about body and interpersonal safety in everyday life.
In this session, clinical and forensic psychologist and author, Dr Shona Innes, draws on her clinical experience working with both individuals who have sexually harmed children and those affected by abuse, alongside her doctoral research and novel, "Family Trust".
The session explores how children communicate through behaviour and emotion, and how adults can safeguard through building shared understanding, boundaries and help-seeking in developmentally appropriate ways, without fear or formal "big talks.”
