Creating Immersive Experiences
About
From Van Gogh Live, to the Sphere in Las Vegas, immersive expeirences have taken off around the world as audiences seek real-world experiences enhanced by creative technology.
Led by facilitator Marcin Oleszkiewicz, this session will unpack what we mean by “immersive experiences”, how designing for spatial, interactive or large-scale environments differs from designing for normal screens, and how tools like TouchDesigner can be used to bring visuals, audio, input and environment together in real time.
Through a series of demonstrations, participants will see examples of interactive installations, large-scale projections, VR/XR experiences, as well as content for ECU's new building, before being introduced to the upcoming hands-on workshops where they can begin developing their own skills.
This session is designed as an accessible introduction for anyone curious about creating interactive and multi-sensory digital experiences - no prior experience with coding, design or immersive media is required.
This session is free to attend, but registration is essential. Please note: this session is delivered in person in the CreatorsLAB and will not be available online or recorded.
