Morwell Excursion: Gippsland & Ukrainian Stories

Students and parents/guardians are warmly invited to join an educational excursion to Gippsland Immigration Park and Latrobe Regional Gallery in Morwell.This excursion will give students the opportunity to explore the history and culture of the Gippsland region, learn about Ukrainian migration experiences and reflect on the contribution of Ukrainian Australians to regional Victoria. A special guided tour will be conducted by one of the Immigration Park's project leads, Maggie Auci, who has a wealth of knowledge on the history of Gippsland and its multicultural residents.
During the visit, students will meet Ukrainian artists Erica and Lisa Kurec, who live in Gippsland, and hear the story of the Kurec family’s migration from Ukraine to the region.

Bus departure: 9.30 am
Return to Noble Park: approximately 4.30 pm
Cost: $20 per person
Tickets: A maximum of 3 tickets may be purchased per booking. Parents/guardians are welcome to purchase a ticket and join the excursion, subject to seat availability.
Food: Food options are limited in Morwell. All participants are asked to bring their own packed lunch, snack and water bottle.
