Funk Engine are back for their 2nd appearance at Miss Celie’s.  Led by bassist and groove-architect Siebe Pogson, fires up unstoppable funk rhythms fused with deep jazz harmony. Their sound channels the raw energy of 70s funk while weaving in the colours of modern soul and hip-hop. At the heart is a powerhouse lineup of Sydney’s finest: Nish Manjunath (saxophone), Deva Permana (drums), Nicholas Twiney (keys), and Timo Jokela (guitar). With a new record in the making, expect new music, but the same infectious groove.
