We’ll be covering both reserves and seniors as UQ faces Wilston Grange. A good opportunity to practice action, positioning, and reading the play, with plenty happening across the afternoon. Expect fast movement, contested moments, and changing light as the games progress. Come along, find your angles, and compare notes with club mates as the game unfolds!The details:
Date: Saturday, 9 May
Time: 10:30, for 11:00am kick off. Second match is at 1:00pm.
Location: UQ Playing Field 2 (see "Getting there" below)
Cost: free!
What to bring:
- 70–200mm: versatile if you’re closer to the action
- 100–400mm / 150–600mm: for play further upfield
- 24–70mm or 35mm: wider scenes and context
- A hat, water, and rain gear if needed — we’ll be outdoors
- A bit of team spirit and a willingness to move around
- And a quick shutter finger — the play won’t wait
Getting there:
The nearest parking to the fields is at P11, Conifer Knoll Parking Station, which is on Thynne Road. We will meet at the Pavillion at 10:30 to share details and scope out the best shooting points. We'll also go over any expectations of the team, dos and don'ts, etc.
