A screening of the Japanese documentary “Pale Blue Dot"
About
“Pale Blue Dot〜When You Smile” (English subtitles)“Pale Blue Dot” is the photo of the Earth from the furthest distance 6 billion kilometers away, last captured by NASA Voyager 1, launched in 1977. The pale blue color is the trajectory reflected by water. In this ray of light shining in the pitch black darkness, we continued to live in laughter and sorrow, singing, and sometimes fighting. “Pale Blue Dot” asks us of only one thing. No matter how much science and technology advances, we must remain humble towards nature, the universe, and lives. In this film, following what we learn from the nature of the universe, and through the words of scientists and religious leaders, we would like to touch and feel the life and soul in the trajectory reflected by "water".
