The Outback Allied Health Forum partners—North West Hospital and Health Service (NWHHS), Gidgee Healing, James Cook University’s Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health (JCU MCRRH), and the North West Remote Health (NWRH)—are pleased to present the pre-forum workshop, Trauma Informed Care. We extend our sincere thanks to Mark Kingston (NWHHS) for hosting this session.Join us for a dynamic, skills-focused workshop designed to support allied health professionals in strengthening their capability to work effectively with individuals impacted by emotional and psychological trauma. This session will explore practical, evidence-informed approaches that recognise the pervasive impact of trauma in the lives of patients, consumers, and clients, while also promoting safe, supportive, and respectful interactions within multidisciplinary teams. Participants will gain valuable insights and strategies to enhance both clinical practice and workplace culture in line with trauma-informed principles
