Making seed bombs with Gardens for Wildlife and Bili Nursery
About
Join Gardens for Wildlife Melbourne, and Bili Nursery for a fun and interactive workshop where you will learn more about locally indigenous plants suitable for Melbourne wildlife gardens.Get creative with seeds from locally indigenous plants and create your own seed bomb mix to take home. Seed bombs are small balls made from clay and seeds that anyone can throw to help disperse seeds and encourage some new plants to germinate.
Taking place at East Melbourne Library, attendees can admire the beautiful native garden on site whilst enjoying refreshments and connecting with other local gardeners and our network of wildlife gardeners in the city.
During this workshop we will also be making seed packets to contribute towards the East Melbourne Community Seed Library.
This event is taking place during National Volunteer Week and is an opportunity to celebrate the contribution of Garden Guide volunteers in promoting biodiversity and expanding nature in our city. All community members are welcome to join us, to learn more about Gardens for Wildlife Melbourne and the work of volunteers to champion for wildlife in our City.
