GenAI in the Courtroom: Ethical Obligations for Lawyers
This session is delivered by Simone Herbert-Lowe, Principal, Law & Cyber. Simone states that ''the Federal Court's GPN-AI (Chief Justice Mortimer, 16 April 2026) is recent, but its message is clear. This is no longer an internal policy question. It goes directly to professional obligations, including: duties to the Court; verification of material filed; confidentiality and use of external tools; and supervision of junior lawyers. The issue isn't whether AI is used. It is whether that use can be explained and justified if it is ever scrutinised.''
Bookings for this event close at 5pm on Thursday 15 October.
