Make a REAL difference to the World's 10th National Park
About
Ever wondered if your environment volunteering is really making a difference?"Make a Difference Week" is Global Restoration Action dedicated to healing damaged ecosystems. It is hosted by The Society for Ecological Restoration, which aims to advance ecological restoration to sustain biodiversity, improve resilience in a changing climate, and restore a healthy relationship between people and nature.
Friends of Belair National Park (FBNP) has been making a REAL difference towards those aims for over 40 years, in the 10th oldest National Park in the world, in one of Australia's 15 biodiversity hotspots.
On June 7, in just a few hours, you can make a REAL difference to an already well advanced area of ecosystem restoration. You will observe recovery in action and remove threats to that recovery. You will assist its evolution in a changing climate. You will improve the future for threatened species.
You will work in small teams of 5 to 10 people, with an experienced leader who will also be able to teach you about the wonderful nature that surrounds you.
There is an option to be in a team, doing more physically demanding work in steeper terrain, if you like a challenge!
You must register, so these teams can be formed in advance and sectors assigned.
Just bring gloves, water and dress suitable to being in the bush, with footwear, long sleeves and pants.
