Dearest Readers,Many of you will have heard the news that our local post office will soon be closing its doors.
Like many in the neighbourhood, we’ve been reflecting on what this means - not just practically, but emotionally too. The loss of local services can change the rhythm and heart of a community. But it also presents an opportunity for us to come together and think carefully about what we want our neighbourhood to look like moving forward.
So we’re opening the doors at Open Book for a community meeting and brainstorming session.
We’d love to invite local residents, business owners and anyone who cares deeply about the future of our area to join us for an open conversation about how we can support one another, strengthen local trade, encourage foot traffic, create connection and continue building a vibrant village atmosphere in our neighbourhood.
This is not a formal council meeting or political forum — simply a chance for people who love this area to gather, share ideas and think creatively about how we can make our community stronger during a time of change.
Whether you have practical ideas, concerns, big dreams for the precinct or simply want to listen in and support local businesses, we would love to see you there.
