Tom Baker Tribute Concert
Tom Baker was a highly respected traditional and mainstream jazz musician who became a major figure in Australia’s jazz scene after moving from the United States to Sydney in the 1970s. Best known as a trombonist, he was also skilled on trumpet, saxophone, clarinet, tuba, and bass. In 1975 he founded Tom Baker’s San Francisco Jazz Band, which gained international recognition for its classic New Orleans and swing-style jazz. He performed with famous artists including Oscar Peterson and Cab Calloway. He died suddenly from a heart ailment in 2001 while touring Europe, aged 49, but remains remembered as one of Australia’s finest jazz musicians.

- Seating is at allocated tables with chairs and some chairs at the back of the room without tables.
- There are seats in the Mezzanine area upstairs and if booking in this area please note that there is no lift for upstairs access.
- The Majestic Theatre offers a full bar service and some light snacks such as crisps and chocolates.
- You are selcome to bring your own snacks but please note that this is a licensed venue and bringin alcohol is not permitted.
