Enjoy a shared meal and a glass of wine in the stunning surrounds of St John’s Cathedral, with an inspiring keynote address from Distinguished guest speaker Debbie Platz APM Queensland Human Rights Commissioner, Australian Human Rights Commission.
This year’s event will support the MND and Me Foundation.
MND and Me Foundation is a Queensland- based non-profit organisation dedicated to supporting people living with Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and their families. MND is a group of progressive diseases where nerve cells (neurones) in the brain and spinal cord gradually die, preventing messages from the brain reaching the muscles, affecting movement, speech, swallowing, and breathing.
MND and Me operates under a dual mission: To Care and To Cure: providing practical and financial support to maintain independence and quality of life; as well as funding critical medical research aimed at discovering a cure. It fills the gaps to ensure every Queenslander living with MND gets what they need, when they need it and at no cost. This foundation helps by offering support services, programs and equipment, as well as financial grants for situations outside of regular funding schemes.
