About

Some spirits are made to be savoured. Dark Acre was made for change.

This is the official launch of Australia's Spirit of Change — Dark Acre, a distilled coffee liqueur that recently took home a Gold Medal at the London Spirits Competition and exists for one purpose: to fund the farms that feed Australian families and children in need.

Dark Acre began with a relationship.

Phil Di Bella, founder of Coffee Commune, has supported the Mini Farm Project for years — and gave us our first opportunity to sell coffee from the Commune.

Phil then introduced us to Lisa Chesterfield, a strong entrepreneur who was quietly building 6ix Fathoms Distillery whilst serving as Chair of our Board. When the idea of a coffee liqueur emerged, Lisa took our most popular blend — Farmhouse Brew — and distilled it into something extraordinary.

The result earned a Gold Medal on the world stage. The purpose behind it is feeding Australian families.

At this event, you'll hear directly from the people who built Dark Acre. Discover how a long-term supporter, a world-class distiller, and a food security charity came together to deliberately engineer a product — not just to sell, but to fund. It's a new model of commercial partnership: where craft, quality, and purpose are built in from day one, so every sale does something that matters.

Every bottle sold contributes $10 directly to the Mini Farm Project, a Queensland food security charity building regenerative charity farms for Australian families experiencing food insecurity. When we reach 100,000 bottles, we will be able to fully fund the Woodstock Youth Training Farm in Logan for three years — producing over 500,000 meals and training over 200 disengaged young people in accredited horticulture.

This is not charity as usual. This is a new model — where the product is the giving mechanism, and excellence is the point of entry.

Come hear the story from the people who built it and be a part of the Charity of the Future.
