Kingston District Cuboree Information Night
About
Cuboree 2026 is one of the most significant and memorable experiences in a Cub Scout’s journey.Held only once every three years, Cuboree is a five-day, four-night camp at Gilwell Park where Cub Scouts from across Victoria come together for an unforgettable adventure. Throughout the week, Cubs participate in a wide range of outdoor activities, team challenges, entertainment, and experiences designed to build confidence, resilience, independence, and lifelong friendships.
More than just a camp, Cuboree gives young people the opportunity to step outside their comfort zone, develop leadership and teamwork skills, and create memories that will stay with them for years to come. For many Cubs, this becomes a defining Scouting experience and truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity at the Cub Scout level.
All Cubs attending from Kingston District will also receive five exclusive district badges to trade and swap with other Cubs during the event. Badge trading is a long-standing Scouting tradition and a fun way for Cubs to connect with others from across Victoria.
Following the recent online parent webinar, Kingston District will now be hosting a face-to-face Cuboree Information Session for parents, carers, leaders, and supporters to learn more about the event, ask questions, and hear directly from members of the Cuboree leadership team.
Attending on the night will be:
• John Kerr – Event Chief Director
• Russell Bradd – Director of Camping
• Rachel Salmon – District Cub Scout Leader
• Nathan Pearson – Deputy Director, Sites and Services
Light refreshments will be provided.
Cuboree 2026 registrations are now open and close at the end of the month. Families are encouraged to begin the registration process early.
