Dance Smarter: A Workshop for Dance Educators
About
You love your dancers. You work hard for them. But when a student isn't improving — are you solving the right problem?Low kicks. Flat leaps. Limited range. Most of us default to flexibility work. It's what we were taught. But here's the truth: it's usually a strength issue. And not generic strength — specific, targeted work based on how that individual body actually moves.
The question is: do you know exactly which muscle groups to address... or are you guessing?
About this session
On Sunday 14 June, Dance Fusion is opening its doors for the very first time to fellow dance educators for an intimate 2-hour workshop with studio owner and educator Melissa Sgro — who brings something most dance teachers simply don't have: a Bachelor in Sports Science and a Masters in Exercise Physiology, alongside 25+ years on the studio floor.
This isn't a lecture. It's a small group learning experience — real science, practical frameworks, and an open round table discussion about the challenges you're actually facing in your studio right now.
You'll leave with:
✔️ A clear process for identifying what's really going on with a struggling dancer
✔️ Understanding the difference between a flexibility and a strength problem — and why it matters
✔️ Specific muscle groups to target for the most common issues we see in dance
✔️ Practical strategies to apply from your very next class
