Perth Rotary Lunch| 'The Blades of Oary'
Come and join us to hear from some of the Blades of Oary team on their quest to row the Atlantic Ocean for charity.
In their words:
"We are four women (Laura, Cassie, Micah and Chelsea) who are attempting to become the first team of four Australian women to row across the Atlantic Ocean. We’re not professional athletes. We’re a Retrieval Nurse, Teacher, Rescue Helicopter Crew Person and Occupational Therapist, all working full time. We’ve been building this campaign for the past 18 months alongside our jobs which often feels like a full time job in itself. The physical row is one part of it, but the logistics, compliance, fundraising and community engagement behind the scenes are just as demanding."
