As part of the Ballarat Heritage Festival 2026, join in for a musical presentation exploring St John’s historic 1891 Fincham and Hobday pipe organ, alongside stories of church music and hymn singing in Ballarat’s early years. Organ music and spoken commentary together introduce visitors to the sounds, traditions, and community life that shaped generations of worshippers and musicians.St John's will be open to visitors throughout the festival, with heritage displays including photographs, vestments, historical texts, and archival records. Visitors are invited to explore the church's architectural features, stained glass, and stories of parish life, with parish hosts offering a warm welcome and informal interpretation.
