GRANT HOLLAND - THE HOLLAND FOUNDATION
Rotary Southbank Elsternwick invites members and guests to an insightful Speakers Corner Dinner on Wednesday 13th May 2026
Our Guest Speaker is Grant Holland from The Holland Foundation
Come and hear Grant Holland give us an update on the activities of The Holland Foundation.
Following the horrific experiences of World War 1 and Gallipoli, Sir George & Lady (May) Holland began a lifelong mission to help the disadvantaged.
They set up and assisted in the development of a range of programs and charities to provide support and relief for those in need due to poverty, sickness, grief, distress, homelessness, misfortune, disability, abuse, and trauma. Sir George Holland was a past State and National President of the R.S.L.
The Holland Foundation uses practical and incentive based programs to empower people and teach them the tools required to navigate positively through the challenges of life.
One of their key projects is a unique “real world” retail and office administration employment training program run out of their Op-shop and administration office. In 8 years, up to July 2021, 705 unemployed people, with little hope of gaining work experience, let alone a job, have been through the training program and helped to get a job.
Starting at 6.00pm for 6.30pm start to 7.30pm Finish - including dinner.
Bookings are essential, cost is $35.00 (inclusive of dinner - a great deal!)
