Single Cask Whisky – Heaven in a Glass!Whilst whisky is traditionally blended to create a consistent flavour, year in and year out, the SMWS only bottles single cask, single malt whiskies. Empty a barrel and refill it with new spirit and the outcome will not taste the same making each of our bottles an extremely rare expression of flavour.
SMWS has, and always will be, about flavour. Expressing that flavour through the history of the club and our alchemy of single cask maturation, we will take you on a journey into the centre of that and show how maturation plays a crucial role, and what explains more about what we do best by a sampling of 4 casks that you won't find anywhere else at the show.
Masterclass tickets cost $20 per person and attendees must also hold a valid ticket to the Queensland Whisky Expo. Ticket holders will be required to show their tickets to both the Expo and their Masterclass prior to entry. No refunds will be available for Masterclasses if ticket holders are refused entry due to not holding a valid Expo entry ticket.
