Join us for breakfast to hear from two speakers - Sue Hayward and Angela Priftis.Sue is a has over four decades of experience spanning healthcare regulation, national IT systems implementation, corporate services management, vocational education, and management consulting. Sue has held multiple senior leadership roles over her long career and is involved with the Southern Highlands Older Women’s Network (SHOWN), an advocacy group supporting older women (55+) in the issues such as homelessness, social isolation, domestic violence, coercive control, financial coercion and sexual assault in nursing homes. Sue will talk about the work of the Older Women's Network and SHOWN in particular.
And, we're supporting Lipoedema Awareness Month. Up to 1 in 9 women are affected by a chronic condition that remains internationally under-recognised and frequently misdiagnosed - the condition is called lipoedema, a chronic fat distribution disorder, often mistaken for obesity or lymphoedema, that almost exclusively affects women. Angela will talk about this condition with the opportunity for us to donate to this important cause.
