• Step back into the 1950's and travel by vintage steam train through Melbourne's western suburbs as we operate two steam locomotives with heritage wooden E-type carriages, departing Werribee Station on a 40-minute return journey on Sunday 14th June 2026.

• These shuttles will operate as a return journey between Werribee and Laverton stations. Travel in our heritage wooden red rattler carriages dating back to 1908, featuring compartment seating, opening windows and pressed tin ceilings. Listen to the whistles of the engines as they pass modern commuter trains and wave to the locals as we pass through the suburbs of Werribee, Hoppers Crossing and Laverton.

• The one-way transfer trains will travel between Newport and Werribee stations. Enjoy an express train ride along the former main line to Geelong and listen to the whistles of the engines as they work their way over the brand new viaducts at Maddox Road in Newport. 

• NOTE: DUE TO PLATFORM AVAILABILITY THESE STEAM TRAIN SHUTTLES DEPART TO AND FROM WERRIBEE STATION ONLY, PASSENGERS CANNOT BOARD OR LEAVE THE TRAIN AT LAVERTON.

TICKET OPTIONS

5 x return shuttles will depart Werribee (Platform 1) at 9:45am, 10:45am, 11:45am, 2:25pm and 3:25pm. These 40-minute shuttles will operate to Laverton and return, passengers will not be able to join/leave the train at Laverton.

One-way transfer trips will depart at the following times - 
Newport (Platform 2) 8:55am, to Werribee arriving at 9:37am.
Werribee (Platform 1) 4:10pm to Newport arriving at 4:49pm.
